Today at Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event, a special panel discussion is taking place titled “How to Blow Things Up in Estonia (and Get a Rebate for It): SISU2 Case Study and Estonian Cash Rebate Scheme Presentation.”

„Perfect Strangers“ premieres in Finland this week

This week marks the Finnish premiere of „Perfect Strangers“, a comedy-drama directed by Rike Jokela. Based on Paolo Genovese’s record-breaking hit „Perfetti sconosciuti“ (2016), the story has already been remade in more than 20 countries – and now also in Finland.

The film brings together an all-star cast of Finnish actors, including Laura Birn, Hannu-Pekka Björkman, Pirjo Lonka, Malla Malmivaara, Joonas Saartamo, Pekka Strang, and Jani Volanen.

At the center of the story is a dinner party with friends that takes an unexpected turn when they decide to share every message, call, and notification that appears on their phones – revealing secrets that will change everything.

„Perfect Strangers“ will be in Finnish cinemas from September 19.

Orenda premieres in Estonian cinemas this week

Orenda – the new film by master director Pirjo Honkasalo (Concrete Night, The 3 Rooms of Melancholia) – premieres in Estonian cinemas this week.

The film follows two strong-willed women (Alma Pöysti and Pirkko Saisio) who meet in the magical landscape of an archipelago. Bound by the memory of a deceased man, the restless opera singer and the temperamental priest search for answers from each other.

The first official trailer for Sisu 2

The upcoming feature film, shot in Estonia and supported by the Film Estonia cash rebate, has just released its official trailer.

From writer and director Jalmari Helander, the story follows a man who returns to dismantle his family’s house — where they were murdered during the war — in order to rebuild it elsewhere. But when the killer, a Red Army commander, tracks him down, a brutal cross-country pursuit begins, with Jorma Tommila and Stephen Lang in leading roles.
